Many people are surprised to learn that one out of seven Americans – 46 million people – rely on food pantries and meal service programs to feed themselves and their families. It is hard to believe that the United States of America, one of the most food-rich nations in the world, does not have enough to feed its people. This means that people in America have to make trade-offs. They have to choose between buying food for their children or paying for utilities, rent and medicine. LCSED staff is dedicated to stomping out hunger. A dedicated staff led by Food Bank Director Leslie Fowler serves our local community free food four times a month. LCSED is prepared to receive any donation to assist this task to erase hunger in our community.
